Pharmacodynamics

Aminalon is a nootropic drug that restores metabolic processes in the brain, promotes the utilization of glucose by the brain and the removal of toxic metabolic products from it.

Increases the productivity of thinking, improves memory, favorably affects the restoration of movements and speech after cerebrovascular accident.

It has a slight hypotensive effect, reduces the initially elevated blood pressure and severity of symptoms caused by hypertension (dizziness, insomnia), slightly reduces the heart rate.

It has a moderate antihypoxic and anticonvulsant effect. In patients with diabetes, it reduces the glucose content, with a normal blood glucose content it has the opposite effect (due to glycogenolysis).

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption is fast, quite complete. TCmax - 60 minutes, then the concentration decreases rapidly, after 24 hours in the plasma is not determined.

Adults and children over 7 years of age are prescribed inside of 0.5-1.25 g 3 times a day.

The daily dose is 1.5-3 g. Children aged 6 years - 2.0-3.0 g / day (8-12 tablets) in 3 divided doses.

The course of treatment is at least 2-3 weeks (optimally 2-4 months). If necessary, the courses are repeated 1-2 times a year.

In the treatment of kinetoses, adults are prescribed 0.5 g (2 tablets), children 0.25 g (1 tablet) 3 times a day for 3-4 days preceding the trip.

In the first days of treatment, fluctuations in blood pressure are possible.
