Side effects
From the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, extrasystole, arterial hypo- or (more often) hypertension, cardialgia, facial flushing.
From the side of the central nervous system and peripheral nervous system: finger tremors, anxiety, headache, dizziness, general weakness, insomnia, paresthesia.
From the digestive system: dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, gastralgia.
Allergic reactions: skin rash, urticaria, bronchospasm, angioedema.
Other: increased sweating, hypokalemia, muscle cramps. With a sharp withdrawal of the drug, the development of resistance and rebound syndrome is possible. When used in large doses, causes tremor of the fingers.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
It is applied inside.
Adults and children over 12 years old - 10–20 mcg 2-3 times a day, maintenance dose - 10 mcg 2 times a day.
Young children - in reduced doses, depending on age, 2 times a day.
Overdose
Symptoms: arrhythmia, tachycardia, arterial hypertension, cardialgia, tremor of the extremities, the development of hypokalemia is possible.
Treatment: gastric lavage, the appointment of activated carbon, the use of water-salt solutions, monitoring the level of potassium in the blood serum, symptomatic therapy.
