Structure

1 suppository contains: Active substances: Glycerol (distilled glycerin) - 1.24 or 2.11 g in terms of 100% glycerol content (which corresponds to 1.32 g or 2.25 g of 94% glycerol with a density of 1.2481 g / cm3); Excipients: Macrogol 400 (polyethylene oxide 400) - 0.12 g or 0.21 g, Stearic acid - 0.12 g or 0.205 g, Sodium carbonate decahydrate (10% sodium carbonate) - 0.060 g or 0.103 g.

pharmachologic effect

Laxative, softens and lubricates hardened fecal masses, facilitates their passage through the colon, has an irritating effect on the intestinal mucosa, reflexively stimulating intestinal motility.

Indications

Constipation (including pregnancy and lactation).

Prevention of constipation in patients who cannot strain during bowel movements: painful thrombosed hemorrhoids, anal fissures or perianal abscess, anorectal stenosis, after myocardial infarction.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, hemorrhoids (acute phase), proctitis, paraproctitis, tumors of the rectum.

Precautions

Renal failure.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, local reactions (itching and burning of the skin).

With prolonged use - weakening of the physiological process of defecation.

How to take, course of administration and dosage

Rectally, 15-20 minutes after eating.

Suppositories 2.11 g: for adults and children over 7 years old - 1 suppository once a day.

Suppositories 1.24 g: it is allowed to apply from the first days of life.

Children under 3 years old - ½ suppository, children from 3 to 7 years old - 1 suppository once a day.

If necessary, increase the dose to 2 suppositories per day.

Special instructions

Systematic use is not recommended.

Treatment is stopped after restoration of normal intestinal motility.

Do not lubricate suppositories with liquid or solid oils.

Release form

Rectal suppositories 1.24 g or 2.11 g.

5 suppositories in blister packs.

Two blister packs along with instructions for medical use of the drug are placed in a cardboard box.
