The main active principle of Grippferon is a highly active recombinant (obtained by genetic engineering method) interferon a-2. The drug is absolutely safe for viral contamination, which is very important in an age of widespread hepatitis B, C, D, HIV, CMV and other blood-borne infections.

The mechanism of action of interferon (Grippferon) is based on preventing the propagation of any viruses that enter the body through the respiratory tract. Already on the second day of the use of Grippferon, the patient significantly reduces the number of viruses secreted by breathing, and, accordingly, the risk of infection of people in contact with him decreases.

• Prevention and treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, influenza, colds:
  • in children from birth and adults, including pregnant women;
  • in patients often and for a long time suffering from diseases of the upper respiratory tract;
  • in people prone to allergic reactions; in contact with patients with acute respiratory viral infections and influenza;
  • with hypothermia.
• Prevention of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in organized groups (children and adults), among the contingents of "risk" - health workers, teachers, etc. (especially during the epidemic).
• Emergency prevention of influenza and SARS. Unlike a vaccine that creates long-term resistance to certain strains of the influenza virus, Grippferon is used mainly in cases where there is a real threat of an acute respiratory infection (in close contact with the patient, during an epidemic, with a cold, etc.), there is for emergency prevention. A single dose of the drug for individual emergency prevention many times reduces the risk of the disease.
• Prevention and treatment of bird flu.

Allergic reactions.

The use of intranasal vasoconstrictor drugs together with Grippferon® is not recommended, as this contributes to additional drying of the nasal mucosa.

Intranasally.
At the first signs of the disease, Grippferon® is used for 5 days:
- at the age of 1 year - 1 drop / dose (500 ME) in each nasal passage 5 times a day (single dose - 1000 ME, daily dose - 5000 ME);
- at the age of 1 to 3 years - 2 drops / dose in each nasal passage 3-4 times a day (single dose - 2000 ME, daily dose - 6000-8000 ME);
- aged 3 to 14 years - 2 drops / dose in each nasal passage 4-5 times a day (single dose - 2000 ME, daily dose - 8000-1000000 ME);
- from 15 years old and adults - 3 drops / dose in each nasal passage 5-6 times a day (single dose - 3000 ME, daily dose - 15000-18000 ME).
In order to prevent SARS and influenza:
- upon contact with the patient and / or during hypothermia, the drug is injected in a single age-related dosage 2 times a day once;
- with a seasonal increase in the incidence of the drug, the drug is used at an age-specific dosage once in the morning with an interval of 24–48 hours;
- if necessary, repeat the preventive courses.

Grippferon Drops:

After each instillation, it is recommended to massage the fingers with the wings of the nose for several minutes to evenly distribute the drug in the nasal cavity.

Grippferon Spray:

To administer the drug, remove the protective cap, insert the spray device into the nasal passage and press the spray mechanism strongly (1 dose - 1 press). Before the first use, press the spraying mechanism several times until a spray cloud appears.

Influence on the ability to drive a car or perform work requiring an increased speed of physical and mental reactions.

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
