Semax 1% - "Ambulance" for stroke. Due to its form of release - nasal drops - instantly begins to act, preserving nerve cells from damage and minimizing the consequences of a violation of an acute disturbance of the blood supply to the brain. Prevents recurrent strokes. Relieves post-stroke depression.
Pharmacokinetics
It is absorbed from the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity, while absorbed up to 60-70% in terms of the active substance. Semax is rapidly distributed to all organs and tissues, penetrates the blood-brain barrier.

With prolonged use: possible - mild irritation of the nasal mucosa.
Interaction
How to take, course and dosage
Semax is administered intranasally.
As an ambulance in the first minutes and hours of the onset of a stroke - at the pre-hospital stage - Semax 1% is administered 3 drops into each nasal passage every 20 minutes before admission to the hospital.
At the stage of treatment in the hospital "Semax 1%" is used:
Stroke of moderate severity - 3 drops in each nasal passage 4 times a day for 10 days.
Severe stroke - 3 drops in each nasal passage 6 times a day for 10 days.
Transient ischemic attacks (TIA) treatment at the hospital stage - 3 drops in each nasal passage 3-6 times a day for 10 days.
