pharmachologic effect

Timogen is an immunostimulating agent, a dipeptide.

It has immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, desensitizing, antioxidant, reparative effects. It interacts with T-lymphocytes, Langerhans cells (macrophages) and mast skin cells, contributing to the normalization of their functional activity and intercellular interactions.

Helps reduce antigen / IgE-mediated production of inflammatory mediators of the level of pro-inflammatory cytokines and biogenic amines (histamine and serotonin) in the skin cells. Causes a decrease in skin manifestations of allergic reactions with increased sensitivity to various allergens. Suppresses the inflammatory response in response to exposure to skin irritants in contact dermatitis. Reduces skin inflammation and itching of allergic dermatitis in the acute phase of the disease.

It inhibits the processes of free radical oxidation in pathologically altered skin cells, preventing their damage and death, and stimulates the production of antioxidant cell defense factors.

Stimulates the proliferation of keratinocytes, fibroblasts and endothelial cells, contributing to the regeneration of damaged skin. It accelerates wound healing, stimulates cellular and humoral (tissue) defense factors.

Systemic effects are mild due to limited absorption through the skin.
