pharmachologic effect
Urolesan is an antispasmodic of plant origin.
The drug has an antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic effect, enhances bile formation and biliary excretion, increases urine output, acidifies urine, increases the excretion of urea and chlorides.
Urolesan is a complex of biologically active components, in this regard, the conduct of its pharmacokinetic studies is not possible.
Indications
In the treatment of acute and chronic infections of the urinary tract and kidneys (cystitis, pyelonephritis);
urolithiasis, cholelithiasis, chronic cholecystitis, biliary dyskinesia of the hyperkinetic type.
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
- Lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactase malabsorption.
- Hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
- The diameter of kidney stones exceeds 3 mm.
- Age to 18 years.
Side effects
From the digestive system: dyspeptic symptoms (heartburn, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea).
Allergic reactions: itching, redness of the face, skin rash, angioedema (feeling of sore throat, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, tongue).
From the central and peripheral nervous system: dizziness, general weakness.
From the cardiovascular system: increase / decrease in blood pressure.
How to take, course of administration and dosage
Urolesan is used orally, before meals, 1 capsule 3 times a day.
In the event of renal and hepatic colic, a single dose can be increased once to 2 capsules, then at subsequent doses, return to the usual single dose (1 capsule).
Capsules should be taken without chewing, washed down with a small amount of water.
Drops are taken orally by 8-10 drops on a piece of sugar 3 times a day before meals.
With renal and hepatic colic, a single dose can be increased to 15-20 drops.
In acute conditions (including renal and hepatic colic), the duration of the course of therapy is from 5 to 7 days, in chronic conditions - up to 1 month.
An increase in duration and a second course of treatment is possible only on the recommendation of a doctor.
