Velaxin has an antidepressant effect.

SIDE EFFECTS OF VELAXIN
Common symptoms: weakness, increased fatigue.
From the gastrointestinal tract: decreased appetite, constipation, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, rarely hepatitis.
Metabolic side: increased serum cholesterol levels, weight loss, sometimes changes in the results of laboratory tests of liver function, hyponatremia, syndrome of insufficient secretion of antidiuretic hormone.
From the cardiovascular system: arterial hypertension, skin hyperemia, postural hypotension, tachycardia.

VELAXIN DOSING MODE
Velaxin is taken inside, during meals.
The recommended initial dose of Velaxin is 75 mg per 2 dose (2×37.5 mg) daily.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS OF VELAXIN
Cancellation of Velaxin: as with other antidepressants, a sharp cessation of venlafaxine therapy, especially after high doses of the drug, can cause symptoms of withdrawal, so it is recommended to gradually reduce its dose before canceling the drug. The duration of the period necessary to reduce the dose of Velaxin depends on the dose, the duration of therapy, as well as the individual sensitivity of the patient.
STORAGE CONDITIONS AND SHELF LIFE OF VELAXIN
Store Velaxin in a dry, dark place at a temperature not exceeding 25C. Shelf life is 2 years.
